I know you’ve seen these bags everywhere. You know the ones. Straw, raffia and bamboo bags. They are gorgeous aren’t they? With my beach holiday coming up, I thought I would get myself 5 of these in different styles and sizes, just to try them with different outfits. Okay, I know that may be a little bit excessive but I didn’t plan on keeping all of them. To be honest, I didn’t think that I would get much wear of these bags with the schizophrenic English weather. However, after trawling Pinterest and Instagram to find out how to style them beyond the beach, I’ve made peace with the fact that I will be keeping most, if not all of these beauties. I’ll also be adding to the collection when I get a ‘Kiondo’ or two when I visit Wakanada aka Kenya in December Kiondos, which are typically made from sisal, are more colorful and are embellished with shells or beads. I had loads of these when growing up. I’m completely inspired. Believe you me, every time the sun comes out, I will be out there, with one of my bags in tow. Even if I’m only heading to Sainsbury’s. Below are are 3 ways to wear the trend as well as 20 affordable bags that you can rock this spring/summer.
