Well, it has been a while since I wrote about interiors – which is very odd as it’s one of the areas that I am particularly interested in. I got to say that for a moment, in the earlier months of lockdown, I was very apprehensive of ordering anything online because you know, CORONAVIRUS! However, I decided to get on with a few jobs around the house including decluttering, painting my living room and hallway as well as getting some stuff done in the garden. I also needed (probably an exaggeration) to order a few items for the house – some items had been in on my shopping list for a very long time e.g. a pestle and mortar (so basic – right?), others were organisational items and office items as life shifted to a work from home situation. The other purchases were to update some of my serveware and decor pieces. My fave purchase hands down has to be this vintage china tea set that I purchased from Bonny & Blithe, that reminds me of my childhood and the dishes my mother wouldn’t let us use.
Although my home seems to be a never-ending project (got to replace my indoor and outdoor light fixtures, the conservatory flooring is yet to be done, the patio still needs to be extended, our ensuite is falling apart…), I am thoroughly enjoying the process of transformation. I’m not sure my husband would concur because I’m always faffing with something, but he does like it when it comes together.
As with everything, I have found bargains that are of excellent quality. Amazon, Zara Home, and H&M have been absolute treasure troves (you wouldn’t want to know how many packages I have received recently!). Anyway, here are my most recent home purchases.
