Well, 2020 is turning out to be quite the year. It has been mentally and emotionally draining so far. As a way to boost my mood, I decided to start a little monthly segment here on the blog sharing a roundup of what I’m loving – some new, some old, some random bits, some thematic… I value recommendations from friends so thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and share my faves. Without further ado, here’s what has been “sparking joy”.
The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse
This book is bringing me so much joy at the moment. It is lighthearted but with the most valuable lessons we could learn in life and a mole that loves cake. I love that it is simple enough that my daughter can read it but ‘deep’ enough for me to find interesting and challenging.
H&M Round Cushion with Pompoms
I’ve been looking for a round pom pom cushion for as long as I can remember after seeing these years ago on Pampa. I couldn’t justify the hefty price tag of over £100 not including shipping and duty fees. Imagine my excitement when I saw this cushion at H&M for about £25. I’ve never been so happy about a purchase.

I first heard of Dr Anita Phillips while listening to the Woman Evolve Podcast. The perspectives she brought into questions from listeners was incredible and I’ve followed her ever since. As a Minister and Clinical Therapist she articulates the human psyche eloquently and provides listeners great insight on a range of issues.
I tend to love accessories that are a bit different from the norm and fell in love with this basket when I saw it on a Sheerluxe unboxing. I plan on taking this everywhere I possibly can this summer.
